Equipping Young People with the Confidence to Move More
The Sure Breaking Limits Programme for Primary is now double accredited – with the PE lessons accredited by the afPE and the PSHE lessons quality assured by the PSHE association.
The newly double-accredited Sure Breaking Limits Programme is a FREE curriculum-linked PE & PSHE programme that equips young people with the confidence to move, demonstrating the power of movement to deliver physical, mental and social benefits for young people aged 9-11.
These resources are designed to give young people the confidence to move by making it fun, inclusive and accessible for all, regardless of gender, race or ability. The programme includes resources for classrooms, gyms and assemblies with no specialist knowledge required.
With specific curriculum links across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, the programme explores three topics: Confident Mover; Team Player; and Goal Setter.

X 3 PSHE Lessons - With three separate PSHE/Wellbeing sessions, designed to bring inclusive movement into the classroom, teachers are provided with ready-to-run PPT decks, teacher notes, fun how-to videos and activity sheets. Activities can be adapted for students with a range of physical needs.
X 3 PE Lessons - With three separate PE sessions, teachers will tackle wellbeing and confidence with a difference. Teachers will be provided with teacher notes and activity sheets, including frameworks to modify each lesson to make them more inclusive for all.
The programme can be delivered separately or together for a cross-curricular look at the positive impact movement can have on health and wellbeing.
What the PSHE Association said about the PSHE lessons:
“These will be fun and engaging additions to primary teacher’s PSHE toolkit, and support pupils to recognise the benefits of movement and exercise, while also using sports to explore the importance of respect and inclusion in relationships.”
What afPE said about the resources:
“Very useful resources for PE teachers to integrate into their lessons with a tight alignment and reference to the National Curriculum PE Programme of Study.”
