Our first activity teaches learners about rivers and the impact having too much or too little water has on the environment.
The second ‘Pitch for the Planet’ lesson empowers learners to put their learning into practice and find solutions for solving climate and water related issues.
Learners develop and demonstrate the skills of creativity, collaboration, problem solving, critical thinking and leading the learning.
Free downloadable resources include:
- Teachers’ Guide – comprehensive, easy-to-use lesson instructions and guidance on how these lessons engage learners through Curriculum for Excellence.
- Enquiry Trails – help your learners understand how Scotland faces issues or ‘too much’ or ‘too little’ water with these interactive PDFs.
- Lesson PowerPoints – Ready-to-go lesson presentations with notes to help you deliver each activity.
- Activity and Homework Sheets – see how well your learners understand our connection to water and sustainability with these fun worksheets.
- Water Summit Challenge Cards and Presentation Template – a series of real-world challenges for learners to solve before pitching their solutions to a panel of teachers.
