Online digital experiment
Pupils aged 5-11 will join Sophie and Rushil on a virtual tour of a recycling plant. Help them learn about the process of recycling glass with fun, interactive gameplay. Pupils then take part in an online experiment to become planet-saving Glass Guardians.
The Super Investigators online experiment is an easy way to teach science this term.
- Develop their scientific skills
- Learn how to make predictions
- Practice creating a fair test
- Understand the importance of recycling glass
- Become Glass Guardians Super Investigators
Encourage pupils to complete the experiment, then help them take their learning further. We have provided lots of hints and tips in our downloadable teacher notes. Register today to access your resources, then encourage the whole school to take part!
Accompanying Resources
The Glass Guardians programme also has a suite of cross-curricular resources for pupils aged 5-11. Introduce the importance of recycling glass to your school with the assembly presentation. Then use the activity sheets and challenge pupils to design a recycling superhero. Pupils could also watch the ‘Journey of Glass’ video to see how glass bottles are made!
Don’t forget we have lots more resources available to help you in the classroom. Check out our other initiatives and also take part in our exciting competitions listed HERE. You can also find out more about glass recycling by visiting the British Glass website HERE.
