By becoming a Samsung Solve for Tomorrow School (“Samsung Solve for Tomorrow School” ) you (the “Participant”) agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”). Any information or instructions published by the Promoter about the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools on the National Schools Partnership website form part of these Terms and Conditions.
The Promoter
- The Promoter of Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools is Samsung Electronics (UK) Limited, Samsung House, 2000 Hillswood Drive, Chertsey, Surrey, KT16 0RS.
Eligibility
2. Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools is open to all secondary school teachers (“Participants”) in the UK and Republic of Ireland who teach students aged 11 to 15 years old.
3. To be eligible, Participants must intend to deliver at least one of the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Next Gen resources (Online Safety and Design Thinking) to at least 50% of the classes they teach in the relevant subjects (D&T, STEM, ICT, Careers or PSHE).
4. Participants must also commit to completing the end-of-programme survey and provide evidence of their resource delivery as part of the value exchange for Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools.
5. Employees or agents of the Promoter or any of its group companies or their families or households or anyone professionally connected to this programme are not eligible to enter.
6. All Samsung Solve for Tomorrow School participants must have a registered account with the National Schools Partnership (‘NSP’) on nationalschoolspartnership.com, managed and run by We Are Futures Limited. Participants who have a registered account with The National Schools Partnership hereby consent to the privacy policy available at https://nationalschoolspartnership.com/privacy-policy/
7. No purchase is necessary to enter.
Certification Period
8. The Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools period will open at 00.00 (GMT) on 6th February 2025, for all Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools and will be valid for one (1) year from date of issue. (“the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools Period”).
9. Upon completion of the Certification Period, all Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools will receive the following awards:
9.1 Digital Badge: A digital badge recognising certification status.
9.2 New Resources: Early access to new resources as they become available.
Prizes
10. There are four (4) categories of Prizes to be won and made available to randomly selected Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools during the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow School period consisting of:
(1) Careers Activities: Access to Samsung volunteers for careers activities through initiatives such as the ‘Back to School’ programme, subject to availability during the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools 12-month period.
(2) Prize Draws: Entry into prize draws for tech prizes held throughout the year, determined by eligibility. Subject to applicable Ts&Cs.
(3) Samsung Events: Access to exclusive Samsung events during the academic year, where available, including but not limited to in-person attendance at National Careers Week live lessons, launch events, and ceremonies, subject to availability.
(4) Innovator Days: Eligibility to participate in “Innovator Days,” which are volunteer-led workshops hosted at Samsung offices, subject to availability.
11. The Prizes carry no cash value, are non-transferable and may not be substituted by the winners. The Promoter may substitute a Prize of equal or greater value for any Prize.
Prize Draw Winner Selection
12. Throughout the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools period, Eligible Participants will be selected at random by We Are Futures for each prize draw category.
13. The decision by We Are Futures shall be final. No correspondence or negotiation will be entered into by the Promoter concerning either the decision or the result.
14. The winners will be notified using the email address provided on sign up to the account registered with NSP. The winners will have five (5) working days from the date the notification was sent to claim their Prize by responding to the Promoter’s email (a “Claim”).
15. In the event a winner is unreachable, ineligible, or fails to claim the Prize in the time required, the winner shall forfeit their Prize and it will be awarded to a substitute winner, selected in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
Privacy and Data Protection
16. Other than as set out in these Terms and Conditions or for the purposes of operating the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools, the details and information provided by the Participant will not be used for any promotional purpose, nor shall they be passed to any third party with the exception of We Are Futures Limited for the purposes of managing the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools.
17. The Participant hereby consents to such personal information being used for this purpose and confirms they agree with the Promoter’s privacy policy available at www.samsung.com/uk/info/privacy. The Participant may withdraw consent to such use of personal information by writing to the Promoter or by using the opt-out process outlined in the privacy policy.
General
18. The Promoter shall not be liable for any interruption to Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools whether due to force majeure or other factors beyond the Promoter’s control.
19. The Promoter reserves the right, acting reasonably and in accordance with all relevant legislation and codes of practice, to vary the Terms and Conditions of Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools
20. By becoming a Samsung Solve for Tomorrow School, the Participant agrees to release the Promoter from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools or with the acceptance, possession or use of any Prize (except death or personal injury caused by the Promoter’s negligence, for fraud, or otherwise as prohibited by law).
21. All Prizes are subject to current tax law in the local jurisdiction, and may be considered to be a taxable fringe benefit to those who have participated and won under these Terms and Conditions. Winners are responsible for declaring, if applicable, the local currency equivalent cost of the Prize as earnings to the local tax authorities in the country that the Participant is resident.
22. Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools is governed by English law.
