Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Next Gen – Challenge Terms and Conditions 

By entering this challenge (the “Challenge”) you (the “Participant”) agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”). Any information or instructions published by the Promoter about the Challenge on the National Schools Partnership website form part of these Terms and Conditions.

The Promoter

  1. The Promoter of this Challenge is Samsung Electronics (UK) Limited, Samsung House, 2000 Hillswood Drive, Chertsey, Surrey, KT16 0RS.

Eligibility

2. This Challenge is open to all secondary school students in the UK and ROI aged 11-15 (“Participants”).

  1. Entries must be submitted on behalf of Participant’s by teachers, aged 18+ who have gained permission to share and upload the Participant’s Entry to the Challenge.

4. Employees or agents of the Promoter or any of its group companies or their families or households or anyone professionally connected to this Challenge are not eligible to enter.

  1. No purchase is necessary to enter.

Challenge Period

  1. The Challenge will open at 00.00 (GMT) on Monday 28 April 2025 and close at 23.59 (BST) on 25 July 2025 (“the Challenge Period”).

Prizes

  1. There are three (3) categories of Prizes available to be won in total during the Challenge Period consisting of:

Age Group One – 11-13-year-olds

First Prize:

·  One (1) Samsung Galaxy 2025 A Series Tab, for each Participant in the winning team. For the avoidance of doubt, where the winning submission is a group entry, each student in the winning group will receive one (1) Samsung Galaxy 2025 A Series Tab each.

·  One (1) Samsung Galaxy Book for the teacher responsible for submitting the winning Entry. For the avoidance of doubt, only one (1) Samsung Galaxy Book will be awarded.

·  One (1) Samsung 2025 QLED Smart TV for the school of the winning Entry. For the avoidance of doubt, only one (1) Samsung 2025 QLED Smart TV will be awarded.
Second Prize:

·  One (1) pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds FE for each Participant in the runner-up team. For the avoidance of doubt, where the second place winning submission is a group Entry, each student in the winning group will receive one (1) pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds FE each.

· One (1) Samsung Galaxy 2025 A Series Tab for the teacher responsible for submitting the winning Entry. For the avoidance of doubt, only one (1) Samsung Galaxy 2025 A Series Tab will be awarded.

Age Group two – 13-15-year-olds

First Prize:

· One (1) Samsung Galaxy 2025 A Series Tab, for each Participant in the winning team. For the avoidance of doubt, where the winning submission is a group entry, each student in the winning group will receive one (1) Samsung Galaxy 2025 A Series Tab each.

· One (1) Samsung Galaxy Book for the teacher responsible for submitting the winning Entry. For the avoidance of doubt, only one (1) Samsung Galaxy Book will be awarded.

· One (1) Samsung 2025 QLED Smart TV for the school of the winning Entry. For the avoidance of doubt, only one (1) Samsung 2025 QLED Smart TV will be awarded.
Second Prize:

· One (1) pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds FE for each Participant in the runner-up team. For the avoidance of doubt, where the 2nd place winning submission is a group Entry, each student in the winning group will receive one (1) pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds FE each

· One (1) Samsung Galaxy 2025 A Series Tab for the teacher responsible for submitting the winning entry. For the avoidance of doubt, only one (1) Samsung Galaxy 2025 A Series Tab will be awarded.

Secondary Schools

·  One (1) Samsung 2025 QLED Smart TV for the school which submits the most Entries in proportion to the total number of its students which are eligible to Participate (the “School Prize”).

  1. The Prizes carry no cash value, are non-transferable and may not be substituted by the winners.  The Promoter may substitute a Prize of equal or greater value for any Prize.

Entry

  1. To enter the Challenge, teachers must submit the Participant’s idea for a solution which uses technology for good to address inclusion and how they can solve inclusivity issues we face today. Submissions must be written up in the entry form (which can be accessed at www.nationalschoolspartnership.com/initiatives/solve-for-tomorrow-next-gen ) and submitted either via post using a Free Post Label found at www.nationalschoolspartnership.com/initiatives/solve-for-tomorrow-next-gen#resource, or by emailing pages 9, 10, and 15 of the entry form to Samsungnextgen@nationalschoolspartnership.com. The submitted idea must not exceed the space provided in the entry form, which will form the core element being judged. The written idea may be supplemented by additional drawings, presentations, photographs or prototypes drawings or photographs to demonstrate the core learning, however these supplementary elements will not be what the competition is judged on. Participants must provide their name, contact number and all other requested information within the Competition Period (an “Entry”).
  2. Teachers must ensure all information is correct, including their own and their students details on the Challenge entry form.
  3. Participants may only enter the Challenge once. If multiple Entries are received from the same student, all additional Entries will be disregarded. For the avoidance of doubt, each school may submit multiple Entries, but maximum one (1) Entry per student or group of up to three (3) students.
  4. Participants may enter the competition individually or in groups of up to three (3) students.
  5. The criteria for determining the winning Entry (the “Winning Criteria”) is: “An innovative idea that uses technology for good to create a happier, healthier world with emphasis placed on the uniqueness and the degree of creativity, innovation and design of the entry”. The winning Entry must, demonstrate that the idea:
    1. helps society with their health and wellbeing;
    2. is innovative; and
    3. involves the use of technology.
  6. All teachers entering the Challenge must have a registered account with the National Schools Partnership on nationalschoolspartnership.com, managed and run by We Are Futures Limited. The National Schools Partnership registered teacher hereby consents to the privacy policy available at https://nationalschoolspartnership.com/privacy-policy/.
  7. Any text, videos, images or any other content (the “Content”) which are submitted by the Participant as part of the Entry must adhere strictly to the following content guidelines (the “Content Guidelines”) for the Challenge:

a)      The Content must not display the image or likeness of any person or any information about any person unless the Participant has obtained that person’s permission.

b)     The Content must not display any cruelty to any animal or person.

c)      The Content must not infringe any third party intellectual property.

d)     The Content must not infringe the rights of, or be defamatory or libellous about, any person.

e)     The Content must be suitable for a person of any age to view and must fully comply with the law and all regulations.  

f)       The Content must not contain or display any words or images which are considered, at the Promoter’s sole discretion, to be offensive, sexually explicit, rude, disparaging or otherwise inappropriate. 

16.   FOR SAFETY REASONS it is important that Participants do not include or reveal any personal information (e.g. name, contact details, etc.) in any Content.  

  1. Entries containing any Content that does not comply with the Content Guidelines will not be entered into the Challenge and the associated submission will be deemed invalid.
  2. Entries that are incomplete or damaged will be deemed invalid.  No responsibility is accepted by the Promoter for lost, delayed or damaged data which occurs during any communication or transmission of Entries. 
  3. The Promoter reserves the right at its absolute discretion to disqualify Entries which it considers do not comply with these terms and conditions or any Participant who it reasonably believes has interfered with the fair running of this Competition.
  4. The Promoter shall have the right, where necessary, to undertake all such action as is reasonable to protect itself against fraudulent or invalid claims including, without limitation, to require further verification as to the identity, age, and other relevant details of a Participant.
  5. Entries must be made by the Participant, and must not be made through agents or third parties.
  6. Fully completed Entries must be sent to be received no later than the end of the Challenge Period. Entries received after the Challenge Period will not be eligible for Entry.

Winner Selection

  1. Following the end of the Challenge Period, Entries will be reviewed and judged by a panel of judges comprised of employees or agents of the Promoter. The panel of judges shall review the Entries to determine the top two (2) Entries in each age category which, in the panel of judges’ view, best meet the Winning Criteria. For the avoidance of doubt, the Entry which best meets the Winning Criteria shall win the First Prize, and the Entry which next best meets the Winning Criteria shall win the Second Prize.
  2. The Winner of the School Prize shall be the School which submitted the most valid Entries in proportion to the total number of its students which are eligible to Participate during the Challenge Period.
  3. The decision of the judges shall be final. No correspondence or negotiation will be entered into by the Promoter concerning either the decision or the result.
  4. The winners will be notified using the email address/phone number provided at the time of Entry, on or around 30 September 2025. The winners will have fourteen (14) working days from the date the notification was sent to claim their award by responding to the Promoter’s email (a “Claim”).
  5. In the event that a winner or substitute winner is unreachable, ineligible, or fails to Claim the Prize in the time required, the winner or substitute winner shall forfeit their Prize and it will be awarded to the next Participant selected in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

Use of the Entries / Content by the Promoter

6. The Promoter may publish Content produced by the winners on any of its websites or any social networking website any and all Content received by it in connection with this Competition at any time and for any reason.

7. All Participants hereby provide a non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual, transferable licence to the Promoter to use the Content submitted for any purpose, including without limitation for advertising the Promoter’s products. The Participant hereby waives all moral rights they have in the Content submitted to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Each Participant warrants that they are the person who created the Content submitted to this Competition and that all Content adheres to the Content Guidelines. The Participant shall indemnify the Promoter and hold it harmless from and against any losses, damages, liabilities, obligations, claims, actions and demands, including without limitation reasonable legal fees, arising directly or indirectly from any breach of warranty set out in this clause.

Safeguarding

9. Where a Participant is a minor, the Promoter reserves the right to require a parent/guardian/responsible carer to sign a declaration on behalf of the Participant confirming acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Privacy and Data Protection

10. Other than as set out in these Terms and Conditions or for the purposes of operating the Competition, the details and information provided by the Participant when entering the Competition or claiming the Prize will not be used for any promotional purpose, nor shall they be passed to any third party with the exception of We Are Futures Limited for the purposes of managing the Competition.

11. The Participant hereby consents to such personal information being used for this purpose and confirms they agree with the Promoter’s privacy policy available at www.samsung.com/uk/info/privacy. The Participant may withdraw consent to such use of personal information by writing to the Promoter or by using the opt-out process outlined in the privacy policy. 

General

12. The Promoter shall not be liable for any interruption to this Challenge whether due to force majeure or other factors beyond the Promoter’s control.

13. The Promoter reserves the right, acting reasonably and in accordance with all relevant legislation and codes of practice, to vary the Terms and Conditions of this Challenge.

14. The Promoter will not be responsible or liable for: (a) any failure to receive Entries due to transmission failures and other conditions beyond its reasonable control; (b) any late, lost, misrouted, or damaged transmissions or entries; (c) any computer or communications related malfunctions or failures; (d) any disruptions, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of the Promoter; or (e) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Competition.

15. By entering the Challenge the Participant agrees to release the Promoter from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Challenge or with the acceptance, possession or use of any Prize (except death or personal injury caused by the Promoter’s negligence, for fraud, or otherwise as prohibited by law).

16. All Prizes are subject to current tax law in the local jurisdiction, and may be considered to be a taxable fringe benefit to those who have participated and won under these Terms and Conditions. Winners are responsible for declaring, if applicable, the local currency equivalent cost of the Prize as earnings to the local tax authorities in the country that the Participant is resident. 

17. This Challenge is governed by English law.

 

Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Next Gen – Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools Terms and Conditions

By becoming a Samsung Solve for Tomorrow School (“Samsung Solve for Tomorrow School” ) you (the Participant”) agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”). Any information or instructions published by the Promoter about the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools on the National Schools Partnership website form part of these Terms and Conditions.

The Promoter

  1. The Promoter of Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools is Samsung Electronics (UK) Limited, Samsung House, 2000 Hillswood Drive, Chertsey, Surrey, KT16 0RS.

Eligibility

2. Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools is open to all secondary school teachers (“Participants”) in the UK and Republic of Ireland who teach students aged 11 to 15 years old.  

3. To be eligible, Participants must intend to deliver at least one of the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Next Gen resources (Online Safety and Design Thinking) to at least 50% of the classes they teach in the relevant subjects (D&T, STEM, ICT, Careers or PSHE).

4. Participants must also commit to completing the end-of-programme survey and provide evidence of their resource delivery as part of the value exchange for Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools.

5. Employees or agents of the Promoter or any of its group companies or their families or households or anyone professionally connected to this programme are not eligible to enter.

6. All Samsung Solve for Tomorrow School participants must have a registered account with the National Schools Partnership (‘NSP’) on nationalschoolspartnership.com, managed and run by We Are Futures Limited. Participants who have a registered account with The National Schools Partnership  hereby consent to the privacy policy available at https://nationalschoolspartnership.com/privacy-policy/

7. No purchase is necessary to enter.

Certification Period

8. The Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools period will open at 00.00 (GMT) on 6 February 2025, for all Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools and will be valid for one (1) year from date of issue. (“the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools Period”).

9. Upon completion of the Certification Period, all Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools will receive the following awards:

9.1 Digital Badge: A digital badge recognising certification status.

9.2 New Resources: Early access to new resources as they become available.

Prizes

10. There are four (4) categories of Prizes to be won and made available to randomly selected Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools during the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow School period consisting of:

(1) Careers Activities: Access to Samsung volunteers for careers activities through initiatives such as the ‘Back to School’ programme, subject to availability during the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools 12-month period.

(2) Prize Draws: Entry into prize draws for tech prizes held throughout the year, determined by eligibility. Subject to applicable Ts&Cs.

(3) Samsung Events: Access to exclusive Samsung events during the academic year, where available, including but not limited to in-person attendance at National Careers Week live lessons, launch events, and ceremonies, subject to availability.

(4) Innovator Days: Eligibility to participate in “Innovator Days,” which are volunteer-led workshops hosted at Samsung offices, subject to availability.

11. The Prizes carry no cash value, are non-transferable and may not be substituted by the winners.  The Promoter may substitute a Prize of equal or greater value for any Prize.

Prize Draw Winner Selection

12. Throughout the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools period, Eligible Participants will be selected at random by We Are Futures for each prize draw category. 

13. The decision by We Are Futures shall be final. No correspondence or negotiation will be entered into by the Promoter concerning either the decision or the result.

14. The winners will be notified using the email address provided  on sign up to the account registered with NSP. The winners will have five (5) working days from the date the notification was sent to claim their Prize by responding to the Promoter’s email (aClaim”).

15. In the event a winner is unreachable, ineligible, or fails to claim the Prize in the time required, the winner shall forfeit their Prize and it will be awarded to a substitute winner, selected in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

Privacy and Data Protection

16. Other than as set out in these Terms and Conditions or for the purposes of operating the   Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools, the details and information provided by the Participant will not be used for any promotional purpose, nor shall they be passed to any third party with the exception of We Are Futures Limited for the purposes of managing the   Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools.
