Lifebuoy’s Soaper Heroes
A fun, hygiene education campaign, where you also have the chance to get your hands on Lifebuoy Hand Sanitiser and Soaps
As we prepare for the return to school, it is more important than ever to ensure children fully understand the importance of regular handwashing with soap – not just during the pandemic, but as part of their daily routine.
Unilever Lifebuoy is the world’s leading health soap, and for over 100 years Lifebuoy has promoted better hygiene habits across the world.
In this new, national handwashing behaviour initiative approved by the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH), Lifebuoy bring you FREE educational resources and a host of other printed and take-home materials will be on offer, tailored for all primary age groups.
For the first 100 schools to register: FREE 50ml samples of Lifebuoy hand sanitiser for the whole school (based on an average of 268 per school).
Through these fun, curriculum-linked resources you will be able to teach your pupils hygiene-inspired lessons on the basics of handwashing, micro-organisms and our responsibilities to others. The kits will include:
- Posters and stickers for ALL registered schools*
- Fun educational videos featuring animated characters
- A catchy handwashing song
- Interactive quizzes
- Activity sheets and lesson plans with curricula links for England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland
- COMING SOON: A national competition with the chance to win some great prizes for the whole school
There is also a fantastic opportunity to be one of ten ambassador schools. Ambassador schools will share their ‘Soaper Heroes’ journey with us and in return receive an amazing additional box of product samples, stickers, posters and the opportunity to participate in exciting events that arise in connection with the campaign. Confirm your interest in being chosen as an Ambassador school by ticking the box on the sign up form.
Finally, a proportion of eligible schools** that register will receive special “Hand hygiene kits” for each child, containing product samples, plus fun online home resources, posters, stickers and colouring booklets for the children and families that need them most.
Not only this, but in September we will also have a host of videos and even a brilliant Back to School Assembly brought to you by a special guest… Register now to take part of this national initiative in September and be the first to hear our exciting updates!
Our curriculum-linked lesson resources will be live in September, and will give you everything you need to help your learners complete this exciting challenge. But don’t just take our word for it, here’s what our teacher reviewers had to say:
“There’s a lot of great stuff here for Health and Wellbeing – Microbes & Me is a very comprehensive resource with lots of materials to use over a few lessons or one long session. It’s very adaptable and covers Science and links to the community. I enjoyed the comics – I think they will go down a storm!”
– Sarah Storer, teacher, Banchory Primary School, Aberdeenshire, Scotland
“The materials for 5-8 year-olds seem really good and are age appropriate, with good progression from KS1 to KS2…I like the idea of using a 21-day calendar and rewarding hand-washing.”
– Clare Mercer, Lower KS2 Lead, Grove Street Primary School, Wirral, England
