Water Protectors is a free geography and PSHE curriculum-linked challenge that helps KS2 pupils explore water conservation in a fun, creative, hands-on way.  This module contains the following resources:

  • PowerPoint presentation
  • Water saving card game
  • Take-home pledge and tracking chart

There are two options to deliver the content:

Option 1:

  1. Kick off with a 20-minute assembly, to help inspire pupils and help them reflect on ways to save water locally.
  2. Pupils aged 9-11 take part in the 1-hour Water Protectors lesson, and learn water saving habits for home and school.
  3. Pupils take home the pledge and tracking chart, and track the impact of their water saving habits in real time.

Option 2:

  1. Pupils aged 9-11 take part in the Water Protectors Extended lesson, and learn water saving habits for home and school.
  2. Pupils take home the pledge and tracking chart, and track the impact of their water saving habits in real time.

Highly engaging and informative. Students loved the detectives idea and its local connection.
