Aquafresh Brush Time Tales
Aquafresh Schools Club
Help children to learn about the importance of teeth and oral health. Through engaging resources, children will learn the science behind teeth. Explore how cleaning teeth can become fun through a creative writing challenge!
The importance of oral health
Every year there are 60,000 school days lost to tooth extractions and poor oral health. Tooth decay affects a staggering 25% of 5-year olds. It remains the leading cause of hospitalisation in children aged 5-9. The Aquafresh Schools Club is empowering young people to take ownership of their dental hygiene and helping make brush time, fun time!
The programme has links to the KS1 Science, English and PSHE curricula. Get started and develop your children’s creative thinking and literacy skills.
Teachers can find two lessons with activities and lessons plans and parents can find a shorter adapted lesson and activities. Both versions will introduce children to important facts about teeth and oral health over two lessons. They will learn what good tooth brushing and oral hygiene looks like. Cleaning teeth can become fun with the creation of two-minute stories to be read and listened to during brush time.
Resources for ages 5-7 include:
- PowerPoint Presentation
- Teacher Notes
- Supporting Activity Sheets
- Parent Leaflet & Competition Entry Form
