Young people don’t always have the period information they need to successfully navigate periods and puberty. That’s why Always is on a mission to empower everyone with knowledge about their bodies.

Always are relaunching their schools programme, Always Be You, which is back for its 10th year. Registrations are now open for the new academic year. If you’re the first to register from your school this year, you can order free Always and Tampax product kits for your school.

You’ll also gain exclusive access to the brand-new set of resources launching next month, providing flexible content to suit your curriculum and setting. In the meantime, you can download the Master Your Menstrual Cycle content featuring GB Olympian Jazmin Sawyers.

Free period kits for students

Register or login to order free Always and Tampax kits for your students, providing them with quality period products and resources. Only one order per school per year, so check with colleagues before placing an order or inform them once you’ve done so to avoid confusion.

*Free period kits are available on a first-come, first-served basis per school. If another staff member has already placed an order, yours will not be processed.

Please note that period kits are available to students aged 11 to 14 in the UK and ROI. You may place one order of kits per academic year. Tampons are only recommended for use by people with periods aged 13+.

FAQs for teachers

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I REGISTER?

When you register for ‘Always Be You’, you will be asked to provide us with information about the age groups you plan to teach. This is so we can provide you with the right information and resources. You will then have access to the lesson resources via this page. If your school is eligible for samples of Always pads or Tampax tampons, we’ll let you know when they’re coming via email. So please make sure you don’t unsubscribe.
WHY DO I HAVE TO REGISTER AGAIN?
We launch this programme annually to give everyone the opportunity to receive the samples and to ensure we have up-to-date details from schools. If you’ve registered in the past, you will be contacted each year to re-register unless you have unsubscribed. If you would like to change your email preferences, please contact us via alwaysbeyou@nationalschoolspartnership.com.

HOW DO I GET FREE SAMPLES OF ALWAYS AND TAMPAX?

Sample packs of Always sanitary pads are available for people with periods aged 11-12, (plus a puberty and confidence guide for girls, and a separate guide for parents), and Tampax samples are available for people with periods aged 13-14 (the tampons come with an advice leaflet on how to use them, plus a Puberty and Confidence Guide for parents). When you register for the ‘Always Be You’ programme, please let us know how many samples for each year group you need, and these will be automatically sent to your school.

WHAT DO THE ALWAYS AND TAMPAX SAMPLE PACKS CONTAIN?

The samples of Always pads contain 3 regular liners, 3 liners, and 1 night pad, plus a puberty and confidence guide for girls, and a separate guide for parents. The Tampax sample contains 3 tampons, plus an advice leaflet on how to use them, and a Puberty and Confidence Guide for parents. Schools will receive samples in boxes of 22 (Always pads) or 30 (Tampax tampons).

WHEN WILL THE FREE SAMPLES ARRIVE?

Dispatches are usually every few months, but they can vary and are subject to availability. We will do our best to communicate when sample packs are being sent out so you can plan lessons accordingly. Please let us know if you think you should have already received a delivery but haven’t and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Contact us on alwaysbeyou@nationalschoolspartnership.com.

CAN ALWAYS AND TAMPAX SAMPLES BE SENT TO A HOME ADDRESS?

Unfortunately, we are only able to send samples to school addresses to ensure they are going to the correct place for their intended use and to reduce wastage.

I'M A SCHOOL NURSE. CAN I REGISTER FOR MULTIPLE SCHOOLS TO RECEIVE FREE ALWAYS AND TAMPAX SAMPLES?

Yes, if you are a school nurse and work in many schools, you can add the details of your main school at the end of the registration form. If you are unable to do this or need to add more schools, please contact us at alwaysbeyou@nationalschoolspartnership.com.

WHO ARE THE ALWAYS AND TAMPAX SAMPLES AVAILABLE TO?

The free samples of Always pads and Tampax tampons are only available to students aged 11 to 14 in the UK and Republic of Ireland. Pads can be requested for Year 7 students and tampons for Year 9 students. Tampon use is only advisable for people with periods aged 13+. Sample packs are issued on a first come first served basis and are subject to availability.

WHY CAN'T I ORDER ALWAYS AND TAMPAX SAMPLES FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS?

Schools in the UK and ROI with students aged 11 to 14 may order one set of samples for each eligible year group per academic year. Sadly, samples are not available to primary age students. An age-appropriate version of the Always Be You programme can be delivered in primary schools, so do register for it.
