- The competition is administered by We Are Futures, trading name for Accessibility Marketing Ltd (“We Are Futures”) on behalf of Pfizer Limited, registered number: 00526209, registered address: Pfizer Limited, Ramsgate Road, Sandwich, Kent, CT13 9NJ (“Pfizer”).
- The competition begins week commencing 6th November 2023 and is open to all students/groups of students in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales who will be aged 5-14 years old on 1st November 2023. Eligible students must attend a school that has registered for the ‘Superbugs: Join the Fight’ programme.
- Eligible students must have permission of a teacher, parent or guardian. Entries must be submitted by an adult (parent/guardian or teacher) on behalf of the student. This adult may be asked, with parental consent, to provide proof of age, identity and eligibility. Entry to the competition is free.

- Only one entry is allowed per student/group of students for each entry form.
- The competition leaflet is included in the digital resource packs which can be downloaded here once live: www.nationalschoolspartnership.com/jointhefight/.
- The entry must be original material created by the student(s) and must not infringe the intellectual property rights of a third party.
- One winner will be chosen for primary (ages 5-11) and one for secondary (ages 11-14) making a total of 2 winning prizes by a panel of experts using the following success criteria:
- Originality – Have you used original and creative ideas to design your superhero?
- Relevance – Does your design include scientific information from the ‘Superbugs: Join the Fight’ campaign?
- Engagement – Does your superhero have a creative way of spreading the word to others?
- Entries must be submitted by 5pm on Friday 3rd May 2024.
- We Are Futures and Pfizer reserve the right to revise this date and extend the period for accepting entries for the competition.
- Teachers of the winners and runners up will be notified by email or telephone by Friday 24th May 2024 to arrange the prize unless the competition is extended in which case the teachers will be notified accordingly via email or telephone.
- All entries submitted cannot be returned but applicants retain the right to withdraw from the competition at any stage by writing to We Are Futures at superbugs@nationalschoolspartnership.com or We Are Futures, 1 Paris Garden, London, SE1 8ND.
- Copyright and all other intellectual property rights and interests (together “IP”) will belong to the creator, however Pfizer and We Are Futures are granted a royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide, indefinite right and licence to use the IP for internal and external activities and in any media, including, but not limited to, any marketing activities, post-event publicity (including reproduction of quotes), internal newsletters and presentations.
- The prize will include an in-school workshop in which experts will work collaboratively with the winners to bring their entry to life through video and graphics. Detailed delivery of the prizes will be confirmed nearer the time.
- No alternative prizes are available, and the prize is non-transferable and non-negotiable.
- We Are Futures and Pfizer reserve the right in their reasonable discretion:
- to disqualify any competitor whose entry does not meet the competition entry requirements.
- to add to or to waive any rules and prizes on reasonable notice.
- and/or to cancel the promotion or any part of it at any stage in the event.
- Incorrect, incomplete, or illegal entries will not be accepted. We Are Futures accepts no responsibility for lost, undelivered, delayed, damaged or mislaid entries.
- We Are Futures and Pfizer accept no responsibility and have no liability if entrants do not comply with these terms and conditions.
- Winning schools may be invited to participate in Pfizer or We Are Futures publicity events. No personal details of any winning pupil(s) or any information relating to a specific school will be passed on to any third party in connection with such activities unless agreed with the parent/guardian of the relevant pupil(s) or school previously.
- We Are Futures, Pfizer and third party agencies acting on their behalf, may collect personal information in relation to this competition in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679, the Data Protection Act 2018 and other applicable data privacy laws, except as set out in clauses 21 and 22 below. We will only use your information for the purposes of administering this competition.
- We Are Futures, Pfizer and 3rd party agencies acting on our behalf, may wish to use a participant’s entry, name, image, country of residence and any testimonial provided to us, for promotional purposes (including on their websites, social media, within magazines or within promotional emails). In this instance, the school will be contacted to request permission from the parent/guardian of the relevant pupil(s).
