Samsung Solve for Tomorrow: Next Gen is calling on the next generation of innovators, asking ‘how should we be using technology to make the world a better, more sustainable place?’
For the first time, Samsung UK are taking their global Solve for Tomorrow programme to a new generation of changemakers.
Through an inclusive and engaging 40-minute ‘plug and play’ design thinking sprint session, young people aged 13-15 will get a fresh insight into creative tech careers, whilst stretching their imagination and inspiring some truly great ideas.
All the resources are free and fun and build up to a summer competition. Participants can enter their ideas using tech to make the world a better, more sustainable place.
Prizes include some amazing Samsung tech and a chance to attend a Samsung event as VIP guests. Plus every competition entrant will receive a digital Credly certification in September that can be added to their CV to evidence their skills in college applications.
We’ve already received hundreds of registrations from schools all over the country, and are beginning to see the sessions in action with thousands of young people throughout classrooms and youth groups. We are enjoying seeing the students’ tech for good ideas as the competition entries flood in!
“The students have enjoyed the lessons saying they were fun and engaging and the resources were well designed and helped with the flow of the lesson. It has tied in nicely with the curriculum making it accessible for students and has been brilliant for my planning as we near term end.” – Business Teacher, England
“The video has been an amazing and inspirational classroom resource. I have been surprised how engaged students who previously had struggled in Computer Science lesson have got stuck in and in small groups used the process to inspire and develop some great ideas.” – STEAM Co-ordinator, England
Sign up here today if you are a teacher, parent or youth group leader and would like to register for the free Samsung resources. The resources make for a great summer activity or an exciting back to school session.
The competition deadline is the 9th September 2021.
