The Edit – Digital Storytelling Challenge
Free Creative Software and Resources!
An outstanding, student-led project that actively engages young people in real-world topics and gives them skills for the future, with tech support and CPD for teachers to boost your tech confidence in the classroom.
The challenge? Students aged 8 – 18 are tasked to create a 90-second video news report on one of two important topics:
Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
Climate Change

More information The Edit in Scotland: We continue to engage with Education Scotland and the Glow team to see if we can give access to Adobe Spark via Glow to all Glow users. If a teacher with a Glow account registers for the Edit, please email theedit@adobe.com with your school’s name from your Glow account. Adobe will provide a free 12-month subscription to Adobe Premiere Rush that they can use for the project. Homeschooling: In order to qualify for an Adobe Spark for Education licence and the initiative prize, you must be linked to a school. We welcome participation from home-schoolers, but you would need to use an individual Adobe Spark account which does not have access to all features, and should not be used by children under 13. Data – Operational: We are Futures (WaF) will pass on registering teacher name, school name, email and telephone contact details to Adobe and Sky who are the partners in the campaign to enable us the run the activities. Adobe will use this information to set up and support the licenses for the software tools necessary to participate, they will manage this data in accordance with their Privacy Policy. We will update Adobe twice-weekly with the information so it may take a few days for your follow up. You may be asked for your IT contact’s details in order to setup your licenses so please try to have these ready. Sky will use the information to communicate with prize winners and support ongoing bookings on the Sky Academy Studio, they will manage this data in accordance with their Privacy Policy. WaF is managing this campaign/programme, and we will be collecting and managing various data, including personal data, to support the campaign/programme. We will manage this data in accordance with our Privacy Policy which explains how we use the information, and how to opt out of information on future campaigns.
