BFI Film Academy Courses
Open to young people from all backgrounds, the BFI Film Academy offers a real chance for talented 16 to 19-year olds to be part of the incredible UK film industry. This unique opportunity allows students to learn directly from the professionals using state-of-the-art equipment, and with courses available across the country there really is no reason for them to miss out!
In partnership with the BFI (British Film Institute) we have pulled together a handy guide to introduce you and your students to all the BFI Film Academy courses available. Register to receive your introductory class presentation, teacher notes, student guide and parent letter.

All courses are taught by industry professionals and give your students the opportunity to become part of the Film Academy alumni network!
The courses are a great way for your students to develop a range of soft skills too, giving them the opportunity to work as part of a team, learn to network, build confidence and have fun! Make sure they don’t miss out on the chance to take a first step towards a career in the film industry through this amazing practical learning opportunity!

Details on how your students can be part of the BFI Film Academy can be found in your guide, but each course application is different so be sure to fill in the right form.

- Craft Skills England Residential
There are also places on Craft Skills England Residential course for Screenwriters. Six applicants will develop scripts that will go on to be created by students on the course. If you are interested in developing a script, the application is below:
