National Schools Partnership are pleased to announce a new collaboration with Guinness World Records to create a programme which is bringing the excitement and intrigue of record-breaking to students across the UK.
617 schools are already taking part in The Hybrid Heroes competition which is currently up and running and off to a great start. 645 entries have already flooded into The National Schools Partnership office with only two weeks to go. Entries will need to be in by 15th November 2017, so register now!
Teachers can educate and entertain their classes with our free downloadable ‘Hybrid Heroes’ resources, which are packed full of interesting facts from the Guinness World Records books.
The Hybrid Heroes lesson plan has strong links to the science and English curriculum for pupils aged 7 to 11, teaching kids the ways in which animals adapt to their environment both physically and behaviourally, while also developing their scientific vocabulary.
In addition to these activities, children are being encouraged to create their own hybrid hero that combines human excellence with animal features.
