'The Tree Detective' is a creative cross-curricular activity developed to support KS2 teachers within the curriculum framework. It is packed with seven exercises that feed pupils' imagination, encouraging them to investigate, learn about nature-related topics, and increase their environmental awareness. It may be used with the following subjects:

English KS2 En1 & En3	Science KS2 Sc2
Maths KS2 Ma3	Geography KS2

The resources include:

	A printed Activity Sheet posted to the school for every child with creative educational exercises to do in and outside the classroom.
	A downloadable ‘Tree Detective certificate’ to give to every pupil who completes the investigation.
	Downloadable Teacher Support Notes to help guide you through the process.

Ideal Half Term Activity

This project has been developed by the National Schools Partnership and kindly supported by SCA (the makers of Velvet tissue) in recognition of coming top in a survey by WWF on environmental performance.  All Activity Sheets will be delivered to you on 15th October 2007. It is ideal for a fun half term activity. Activity sheets are only available for the first 1,000 schools to register.
